I enjoy creating illustrations and poetry!
Below are some samples.
Young pilgrim under palm trees dreams of earth.
She feels his love and Atabey dreams back.
A small Taino prince is now her mirth.
I, Juracán, will turn their skies to black,
Then rip the tribe’s bohíos from the ground.
Come, guaraguaos! Feast and bring them rest!
These star-crossed lovers will in winds be drowned,
For I will drown the pain within my breast.
Macana swing at this Cacique’s son,
The only heir to his papá’s guanín.
Immortal Atabey, beware this fun
Before my temper wrecks this isle, my queen.
To hurt your love was not my plan, but pain
With rage has joined to split my heart in twain.
