Lorena Monagas is a classically trained bilingual (English/Spanish) actor, storyteller, and illustrator working across film, television, and stage. Her screen work includes Don’t Take This the Wrong Way, He Who Walks in Darkness, and El Regreso. On stage, she has performed The Winter’s Tale (Paulina), Native Gardens (Tania Del Valle), and La traición en la amistad at Repertorio Español.
She holds an MFA from the Academy for Classical Acting at the Shakespeare Theatre Company and George Washington University, and a BFA in Graphic Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Her training includes Shakespeare & Company; the Juilliard Extension, the William Esper Studio, and the Barrow Group in New York City; and Casa Cruz de la Luna in Puerto Rico.
In addition to acting, her work spans illustration, writing, and producing, with a focus on storytelling across mediums.
